Rachel and Sasha have close ties to the Roaring Fork Valley since Rachel grew up here and it’s long become a special place for them as a pair. Selecting Aspen for their wedding was a no brainer. The wedding was held at the Aspen Meadows. The design-loving duo was living in Germany for much of the engagement and but choosing a location so strongly influenced by design and the Bauhaus movement came easily. Both brides also lean towards less than traditional so their wedding was anything but the standard wedding. We embraced a cabinet of curiosities aesthetic and the tone was dark, moody, and sexy, and reception centerpieces were inspired by Dutch still life paintings, complete with butterflies, crystals, and the like. The fashion-forward ladies passed on wearing white, instead opting for dark attire.
