Virginia Frischkorn is the founder and principal of Bluebird Productions. She moved to Aspen, Colorado, after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2006 with a degree in Art History and Psychology. Originally drawn to Aspen for its winter ski season, Virginia quickly fell in love with the summer and autumnal months, as well as the amazing activities, food, and culture Aspen has to offer. She calls her hometown “the perfect mix of a small town with big city amenities.” After two years of playing in the snow as a ski instructor, she worked at The Little Nell as a Catering Sales and Events Manager where she developed a sharp attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a high standard for providing the utmost quality of service for each of her clients — all of which would lead her to establish her own wedding and special events production company. Virginia’s background in fine art and her time spent exploring the world shape her approach to designing weddings and events, in which she also weaves in important details of each couple’s story and the setting of the celebration.
Virginia is based in both Denver and Old Snowmass, just 20 minutes from downtown Aspen. She lives with her two children (five-year-old Zach and three-year-old Elizabeth) and avalanche rescue dog, Zara.

Ali’s career began in the art world—primarily through auction houses, where she honed her eye and her business skills before becoming an event planner for Sotheby’s. After creating events for the storied auction house in New York City, the Southern California native moved to Denver and joined the Bluebird team. Instead of mostly planning parties related to Contemporary and Impressionist masterpieces, she now focuses on weddings, social, and corporate events, and her favorite of all is watching the joy on her couple’s faces on their wedding day after working together for a year to make it all happen.
Having lived in a concrete jungle, Ali now revels in spending time outdoors. She’s learning to ski and regularly enjoys hiking, gardening, and playing tennis. Ali also devours thrillers and biographies, and of course is the first in line to any new exhibitions at the local art museums.
She shares her home with her husband and their goofy dog and sassy cat. And while she plans events professionally, she also loves doing them for fun, entertaining in her home and co-hosting themed parties with her husband on the regular.
Jessica truly loves working with people. She actually spent five years as an elementary and preschool teacher before diving into the world of events, where she’s worked for nearly as long. Her love of design (namely playing with textures, colors, materials, and flowers) as well as forming relationships with clients as she guides them through the planning process, are just two of the reasons she loves what she does. Just as she enjoys the changing seasons her hometown of Aspen has to offer, she thrives on the fresh perspectives and preferences each client brings to the table.
Jessica lives downtown with her two hunting dogs, Pepper the German Shorthair Pointer, and Sadie, the English Pointer. She finds sanctuary in the outdoors and can’t get enough of the Colorado Mountains. She strives to spend time outside each and every day, because for her being active and in nature is the key to happiness. While she loves getting out with her friends, she also admits she does some of her best thinking when she goes the solo route.
Krista’s career began as an account executive at an advertising agency (she has a degree in strategic communications) and while she contemplated enrolling in business school, she instead moved to a job as a project manager at a retail company. That’s where she realized her passion for event planning and logistics prowess. Prior to joining the Bluebird team, she helped open a hotel, which was a great combination of her planning skills, love of beautiful spaces, and hospitality. Now she works on a variety of events and weddings to bring them to life, adding her unique perspective along the way.
Born and bred in Texas, Krista moved to Colorado, with her high school boyfriend, whom she lives with in Carbondale. She loves the new sense of adventure that living in the Roaring Fork Valley comes with, and in her down time enjoys trying out new exercise studios, attempting to become a better skier, online shopping even if she’s only “just browsing,” wearing hats, and seeing new places and tasting different cuisines.
