It’s been over a decade since we started working at The Little Nell and their mountaintop venues. As Aspen event planners, it’s one of our favorite venues, and for good reason. It’s a 5-star, 5-diamond property with an exemplary food and beverage program. We know they’ll always deliver and our clients will be blown away by what they eat and drink, but also by the service and the views. Their team has such passion, which makes it even more of a wonderful experience to work there. Plus, the hotel is a great place to have your loved ones stay over a wedding weekend.

We’ve done dozens of weddings and events here: non-profit galas, bridal showers, birthday parties, private yoga classes on the deck, corporate events, an uphill race at night, luncheons, and of course, plenty of weddings. When it comes to weddings, the maximum capacity is 250 for a ceremony, and our go-to guest list size is 200.

The top of the mountain is typically open from May to October and then again December to April (though they’re renovating this summer, so 2021 and beyond will only be better than ever). And we’ve done weddings there in every season! No matter what month, you’re getting amazing scenery from a beautiful vantage point when you’re tying the knot on their wedding deck, at 11,212 feet elevation.

And while the wedding deck as a ceremony spot allows you to enjoy Aspen al fresco from the mountaintop, there are other locations to consider for the rest of your celebration. The Sundeck serves as the café for skiers most of the time, but can be transformed to a reception space that holds 250 people. And the Aspen Mountain Club is a private club that’s suited for smaller weddings (like 120 guests for a seated dinner).

We’ll be back at The Little Nell later this year and can’t wait!
