Jacqueline and Matt’s love story began in Colorado, when he was based here during his time in the military and she would fly out from the east coast to visit him. So it only made sense to return to the mountains for a destination wedding weekend here too. We worked with the couple to create a celebration inspired by the setting, incorporating her Persian heritage.
The ceremony was so special, thanks to nearly a dozen little ones in their wedding party preceding the bride’s entrance, her cousin officiating the service, and a sofreh table set with symbolic items representing virtues such as good fortune and prosperity. After they were declared husband and wife, they honored Matt’s roots by signing a ketubah post-ceremony that had been customized with their self-penned vows.
We created a special spot for the kids to enjoy themselves, complete with games and a cozy lounge area. And the adults moved into the tent for the reception, where tent poles were wrapped in birch and tall arrangements of greenery truly brought the outside in thanks to Flora by Nora. Catherine Mead beautifully captured it all, all the way through to the epic fun had on the dancefloor.
