Virginia Edelson is the founder and principal of Bluebird Productions. She moved to Aspen, Colorado, after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2006 with a degree in Art History and Psychology. Originally drawn to Aspen for its winter ski season, Virginia quickly fell in love with the summer and autumnal months, as well as the amazing activities, food, and culture Aspen has to offer. She calls her hometown “the perfect mix of a small town with big city amenities.” After two years of playing in the snow as a ski instructor, she worked at The Little Nell as a Catering Sales and Events Manager where she developed a sharp attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a high standard for providing the utmost quality of service for each of her clients — all of which would lead her to establish her own wedding and special events production company. Virginia’s background in fine art and her time spent exploring the world shape her approach to designing weddings and events, in which she also weaves in important details of each couple’s story and the setting of the celebration.
Virginia lives in Old Snowmass, just 20 minutes from downtown Aspen with two children: four-year-old Zach and two-year-old Elizabeth, and avalanche rescue dog, Zara.
Olivia Van Domelen
Olivia grew up in Aspen and recently returned after three years in Seattle, where she began her career in event production. She has a passion for décor and design (setting the scene with a beautiful tablescape is her favorite part of a celebration), loves working with people, and uses her ability to stay cool, calm, and collected to execute events with ease.
Olivia has a passion for anything outdoors. In her free time, Olivia loves to ski (she was a competitive ski racer for several years), run, and hike, and has been bitten by the travel bug too. Her latest adventure took her to Florence, Italy, and she can’t wait to plan a trip to Japan and a few other exotic locations.
Aspen is not only Olivia’s favorite place to call home, but where she chose to get married to her husband Travis in September 2017. The couple live in town their Australian shepherd pup Rudy.
